⭐️Send Off for our Volleyball Team and XC Runners⭐️


Plains High School is proud to announce the October Students of the Month, Macy Bunton and Maddox Murrell.
Macy is the sophomore daughter of Michael Bunton and Kassie Bunton. She enjoys hanging out with friends, baking, cruising and watching movies with her brother Desi. Macy plays volleyball and golf, and she participates in UIL events. She plans to go into the medical field so she can help others. One of Macy's teachers said that "Macy excels in creativity and innovative ideas. She works well on her own, as well as on collaborative projects."
Maddox is the senior son of Larry and Brady Murrell. He enjoys playing video games and collecting Legos. He participates in football and powerlifting. Maddox' future goal is to be a screenwriter for cartoons. One of Maddox' teachers said that "he is engaged and willing to share his thoughts on topics in class."
We are proud of these students and their accomplishments!

The Congress Team had a fantastic tournament today at Big Spring!! Jacob and Anahi, keep continuing to do a great job. Emmie, Taylor, and Matias all placed 1st in their Respective Chambers. In the finals, Taylor placed 1st and Matias 5th!!! Great job Speech and Debate!!!

PTO is selling BOO GRAMS

Our Cowgirls will play their first round of playoffs this Thursday, so we had to move our JH football game to Tuesday at Home vs Smyer. Our JH volleyball girls will still play on Monday vs Ropes at Home. Also our Varsity football game will still be at Smyer on Friday. And don't forget Jeremiah and Christian will head to State to run at the State Cross Country Meet on Saturday. Another busy week for our Athletes!!

🩷Our Mini Cheerleaders did an awesome job at the Pep Rally this morning! Don't forget that the girls will perform at the football game tonight-1st quarter! The girls need to be there at 6:15📣Let's continue our school spirit! Everyone come on out to the volleyball game at the Arena at 4:00 as they face Ropes🏐After that let's head on out to Cowboy Stadium as our Cowboys face Tahoka at 7:00!!🏈

BIG BIG NEWS for Plains ISD!
We are excited to announce that we were awarded the High Demand Job Training Grant from Workforce Solutions South Plains in the amount of $76,338.00!
This grant will help us expand opportunities and resources for students in our welding program.
A huge thank you to Workforce Solutions South Plains for investing in the future of our students and community, and a special shout-out to Mr. Marks and Mrs. Mendez for writing and securing this grant!
