Hector Mendias, sophomore, won the “I Voted” art contest created by the County Clerk, Summer Lovelace. Every Plains High School art student participated and Hector’s design was chosen by a panel of judges. Each person who exercises their privilege to vote, in Plains, will receive the sticker in which he designed.
He was awarded a certificate and gift card today and was recognized in Commissioner’s Court at the Yoakam County Courthouse. He was accompanied by his friend, Steven Martinez.
