These kids did fantastic today in Legacy Tournament!!! Kyndall placed 2nd in HI, Jacob placed 4th in Congress and after undefeated prelims in CX Merideth and Emmie placed 4th and Taylor and Matias placed 2nd!!
In their last ride from UIL Congressional Debate these two kids were amazing!!! Taylor placed 9th in her room and Matias placed in the top 5 to advancing. In the final round at the Capitol he played 7th in the State Championship Final!!!!
Today our architecture students toured the unseen parts of our amazing, well-designed school.

Plains High School is proud to announce its December Students of the Month, Jesse Vargas and Camila Cueto.
Camila is the senior daughter of Ricardo and Diana Cueto. Her hobbies are playing with her dogs, spending time with family and friends, and baking. Camila is a member of National Honor Society and Student Council. Her future goal is to attend SPC and become a radiology technician. One of Camila's teachers said that "Camila is a hard-working young lady who consistently demonstrates her intelligence and dedication to her studies. She is also sweet and kind. I have enjoyed having her in class."
Jesse is the senior son of Jesse and Crystal Vargas. He is a member of the Plains Cowboy basketball, tennis, and football teams. He enjoys playing sports and hanging out with his friends. Jesse's future plan is to attend college to study the oil field industry. One of Jesse's teachers said that "he has shown such growth throughout the architecture program. His attendance has been great; he is on task the entire class period, making him a leader; he shows interest, asks questions and responds with an enthusiastic approach. He has produced great work this semester that I have been very proud of, including a project he could benefit from in his future."

PJH November Students of the Month
Plains High School is excited to recognize the Students of the Month for November, Ariah Coronado and Kwade Cleveland.
Ariah is the freshmen daughter of Miguel and Tessa Coronado. She likes to play sports and hang out with her friends. She is involved in many extracurricular activities, including math UIL, basketball, volleyball, track, and tennis. Her future goal is to become a radiologist. One of Ariah's teachers said that "Ariah is an amazing student that always gives 110%. She is willing to try new things and do what's best for her team. She not only shines on the court but also in the classroom. She makes Plains High School look good."
Kwade is the freshmen son of Chris Cleveland. He enjoys showing sheep, hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He is involved in FFA and baseball. His future plan is to become a game warden and raise show sheep. One of Kwade's teachers said that Quade "is a great student who is willing to put in the hard work to be successful. He is a leader in the classroom both academically and with good behavior. His positive attitude is contagious and makes each day better."
