Angel Lozano is our Plains High School Salutatorian. Angel has been a student of Plains ISD for most of his life. He has been involved in football, for which he received Academic All-State Honorable Mention; powerlifting, in which he received Academic All-State; and various UIL academic events, in which he qualified for Regionals several times and advanced to State twice. He is a member of the NHS and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Angel will attend Tarleton State University as an honors student, where he will major in biomedical science. He hopes to become either a physician’s assistant or a neurobiologist researcher. Angel believes that people should work hard and never settle for less than they are capable of; sometimes people must learn things the hard way. Congratulations to Angel Lozano! #plainsproud

The Plains High School Student of the Month is Reagan Guerra. Reagan is the junior daughter of Joey and Nicole Guerra. She plays basketball, is a Student Council officer, is in National Honor Society, and participates in UIL events. Reagan enjoys writing, listening to music, eating, and hanging with friends. Her future plan is to play basketball at West Texas A&M University and major in English. She eventually wants to become an English teacher and basketball coach.
One of Reagan's teachers said that "she is consistently someone who contributes to meaningful discussions in my class. She has a great understanding of our content, and she is a joy to have in class." We are proud of Reagan and her accomplishments, and we are happy to call her our Student of the Month for April.
