Plains High School would like to thank the Yoakum County Connection for selecting our Art program a monetary grant totaling $1,000. Yoakum County Connection funding helps our local Yoakum County Libraries’ and schools by funding the Summer Youth Arts and Science programs in addition to the monetary grants promoting arts within the schools in the county. The major role of the Yoakum County Connection is to raise money through the annual Watermelon Round-Up Festival. Thank you!!

Plains ISD would like to introduce Jaxon Wilhelm. He will be our new 7th and 8th grade History/Coach and is a Plains ISD Alumni! He will start on January 8th, please welcome him to our staff. We are excited to have him come back home and mentor our students! Bio Hi, my name is Jaxon Wilhelm. I am excited to join the Plains ISD staff as the 7th/8th grade History teacher. I graduated from West Texas A&M University this past May with a degree in History. Growing up in Plains makes this a dream opportunity to come back and work for such a wonderful community. One thing I love doing is spending time with family. I cannot wait to begin teaching and coaching this year. I am blessed with the opportunity to serve this community.
