Plains High School is excited to announce Madelin Bunch and Darwin Marquez as the September Students of the Month. Madelin is the senior daughter of Steven and Candance Bunch. She participates in math UIL, manages volleyball and basketball, and is a member of FFA. She is the treasurer for the Student Council, and she is a member of the National Honor Society. Madelin enjoys showing pigs and hanging out with her friends and family. After graduation, she plans to attend West Texas A&M in Canyon. She is planning on majoring in Sports and Exercise Science and will continue her education to become a Physical Therapist. Madi is, according to her teachers, "a very hard worker, both in and out of the classroom, and she always makes class enjoyable. She consistently goes above and beyond. Her commitment to putting in the extra work helps her rise to the top. Madi is always willing to lend a hand to her peers whether it's in the classroom or on the court. Her dedication to learning and desire to help others create an enjoyable, productive classroom." Darwin is the freshmen son of Cesar Marquez. His hobbies are practicing football and learning new things. His future plans include going to college after graduation. One of Darwin's teachers said that "he is an intelligent, hard-working student. He turns in high-quality work, and he always goes above expectations. Darwin is not only committed to his own success, but he is also dedicated to helping his peers succeed, as well." Congratulations to these students. We are proud of their hard work and commitment to excellence!
