Parents and Community Members,
We have been informed that starting next week Avenue G (street between the school and the courthouse) will be closed for repairs. This means we must change the pickup and drop off route for the elementary school students. We will change to entering on Avenue H (just west of the old playground) and exit on Ferrel Ave. Please see map on back.
This will begin next Monday, April 12th and continue while Avenue G is closed.

Se nos ha informado que al partir de la próxima semana, la Avenida G (calle entre la escuela y el juzgado) estará cerrada por reparaciones. Esto significa que debemos cambiar la ruta para recoger y dejar a los estudiantes de la escuela primaria. The Student Assessment Division of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) experienced technical difficulties statewide with the STAAR Online Testing Platform (SOTP) during the first day of testing on Tuesday, April 6. Our 7th grade students were not able to complete the online test, so TEA directed Plains ISD to stop online testing for the day. TEA reported today, that connectivity issues with the SOTP have not been resolved. Our 4th grade students were able to complete 4th grade STAAR writing online assessment today and 9th grade completed the paper EOC English I exam. We try again with our 7th grade students tomorrow, Wednesday April 7th.
Our Area Track Meet is at Post on April 9. Attached is the schedule of events.
