If you have a PreK or Kindergarten student for the 2021-2022 school year and have not registered them, please come see Christina in the office this week to get them signed up. The office is open Monday - Thursday, 8 am - 4 pm and closed at lunch from 12-1. Please bring your child's birth certificate, social security, shot records, proof of residency (ie. utility bill), parent ID or driver's license and for Pre K you also need proof of income. Pre K students must be 4 years old, on or before September 1, 2021. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old, on or before September 1, 2021. If you have any questions, please call Christina at 806-456-7401 ext 1293.


Junior Library Guild is offering free access to ebooks and audiobooks for the entire summer. Students can click on the link to access these free digital books.

Plains Secondary would like to welcome Kassie Bunton to our staff. Kassie graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Interior Design. She has designed for both commercial and residential construction for 11 years. Her experience will allow her to offer interior design classes to our students this upcoming year. She is looking forward to teaching her passion to the students of PHS and offering elective choices.

Plains Secondary is excited to announce that Treon Minall will be joining us. She will be our new 5th and 6th grade reading teacher. Please welcome Treon to our team.
Bio
Treon Cobb Minall is a 23 year veteran teacher who has taught special education, family consumer sciences, secondary English, and middle school reading. She graduated with a BSHE from Texas Tech University and an M.Ed with an emphasis on educational technology from Eastern New Mexico University.
Treon raised her two sons, Colby and Chase Ortega in Plains and has lived her on and off since she was born. She has a passion for reading and travel and considers herself a lifelong learner.
