Congratulations to Marka! #plainsproud Marka Carter is the 2021-2022 Plains High School Salutatorian. She is the daughter of Philip and Vee Ann Carter. She has been a student trainer for the Cowboy Football and Cowboy Basketball teams for all four years of high school. Marka was inducted into the National Honors Society her junior year and was voted in as secretary her senior year. She also became a member of the Student Council at the beginning of her senior year. This year she received awards for 1st Team Academic All-State Football Team and 1st Team Academic All-State Basketball Team. She has been a member of FFA for five years and 4-H for 9 years showing livestock. She has shown both pigs and rabbits. She is also an active member of the Hillside Church of Christ. After graduating, Marka plans on attending Texas A&M University to major in animal science to eventually become a veterinarian.

Congratulations to our JH golf teams today at District golf. The girls team won 1st as a team and Jocey Rios was 1st Medalist!! The boys team competed well and got better.
