Plains High School is excited to announce the September Students of the Month, Daniel Longoria & Lesly Avila.
Lesly is the junior daughter of Jose & Claudia Avila. She plays volleyball, tennis, and basketball; she also is a cheerleader. She is the secretary for Student Council, vice-president of FCA, & reporter for her junior class. Lesly likes to listen to music at full blast, & she plans to become a pediatric nurse or a fashion designer.
One of Lesly's teachers said, "Lesly is an incredibly hardworking student who truly deserves this recognition. I've seen how much effort she puts into everything she does, always looking for ways to grow & improve her work. Her determination & positive spirit make her a joy to have in class!"
Daniel is the senior son of Cori Villarreal. He enjoys playing video games with his friends, running, & watching movies with his mom. Daniel is a member of the cross-country, football, & powerlifting teams. He plans to pursue a career in welding.
One of Daniel's teachers said that "Daniel is a sweet boy who always works hard. He has achieved great things with cross-country, & we are proud of him."
Plains High School is proud of these students & happy to call them our Students of the Month!

The 4th graders are currently learning to add and subtract decimals while exploring key financial concepts such as revenue, cost, and profit. To apply these skills in a real world setting, they will be hosting a Lemonade Fundraiser.

💚Mrs. Bunch’s 2nd grade class has been busy reading AR books. 📚 During the 1st Six Weeks they have read 142 books, 📚60,769 words, and 🌟16 students exceeded their goals. They are excited about reading and on a great path to success. Keep up the hard work and keep reading. Awesome job 2nd grade!🩵
