2009-2010 Accountability Ratings Released
by Michael Michaleson
The Texas Education Agency Released its annual accountability ratings for the 2009-2010 school year for every school district and campus across the state and, for only the second time in its history, Plains ISD earned the highest rating of "Exemplary" for each campus and the district.
A tremendous amount of hard work from students, parents, teachers, administrators, and a supportive school board has made this accomplishment possible. While the recognition is great, and we constantly strive to earn these ratings, the real winners in all of this are our kids. They receive a first rate education that prepares them for life after graduation. An education where doors are open to every student. It creates opportunity for those who attend this District.
You can see the ratings for each campus, the District, Region 17, and the State and/or see how we "stack up" to anyone else at the link below:

Again, congratulations to all of our kids. This is a tremendous accomplishment, but we also realize our jobs are never finished. There is always room for improvement. We are now hard at work finding those areas, and trying to find solutions to be even better. Thank you for making Plains ISD such a fantastic organization and community.
