Plains Invitational Golf

The Plains Invitational went off without a hitch; the weather was great and the tourney turn-out was good. Denver City won the boys division and Kermit won the girls division.
I was very proud of the Plains golf team! The team scores improved a bunch, both boys and girls. The athletes played well; the girls were 4th and boys fifth. Almost everybody improved their scores, way to go guys and gals! A couple of good examples were Jonathan Davis and Jordan Martin. Jonathan improved by 15 strokes and Jordan by 14. Even the couple that did not improve score wise, improved mentally and they knew what was hurting them which is extremely positive.
Thanks goes out to the individuals that helped our kids; Janie Pando, Darla Welch, Leslie Lowery, Danny Bell (alias the cook), Mike Young, Mike Taylor, Matt Webb and Yoakum Co. Golf Course!
Now go practice and Win District!
