Cowboys Lose by 1 to the Eagles

Plains Cowboys lose 7-6 to O'Donnell in home opener. The Cowboys moved to an early 6-0 lead after the third inning, but were unable to hold the lead. Court Crawford started the game on the mound for the Cowboys, throwing two innings of no-hit baseball with 4 strikeouts. He was followed by Cody Friesen, who went 1.2 innings, allowing 1 run on no-hits, with three strikeouts. Theo Cordova relieved Friesen, going 1.1 innings, allowing three runs on three hits while striking out 4. Christian Romero finished the game on the mound, taking the loss to run his season record to 0-1.
He pitched two innings, allowing three runs on 1 hit, while striking out 5. Offensively, the Cowboys were lead by Brandon Craft, who went 2-2 with a double, and two RBI's. Romero went 2-3 with a triple and 1 RBI. Jaaron Bell and Theo Cordova also contributed 1 hit and 1 RBI apiece. The loss gives the Cowboys a record of 0-2 on the young season. District 4-A play will begin on Tuesday, March 9th with the Cowboys hosting Whiteface. Look forward to seeing you there.
