Plains Middle School Poster Winners
Soil and Water Conservation Contest

Soil and Water Conversation District held a poster contest for the 5th graders in Yoakum County. All the 5th graders at Plains Middle School and 5th graders at Kelley Dodson Elementary participated. The theme for this year’s poster was Healthy Habits = Healthy Habitats. Students were graded on neatness, creativity as well as theme. The winners from Plains were D. Gomez 1st place, H. Pando 2nd place, and A. Villarreal 3rd place. The First place winner along with their family, teacher, and Principal will be invited to our Soil Stewardship Breakfast in April. A date for the breakfast has not been set.
