Teen Voting!

On my way to school, I start crossing down Main Street. At every corner I see something that isn’t usually there. I think back on the date, but I don’t remember anything real important happening. I think a little bit harder. Then it hits me. No, not a bird...I realize it’s the town elections.
Every year local residents run for county offices, like Justice of the Peace, County Commissioner, Mayor, and so on. Seniors in high school that are of legal age are allowed to vote in the town elections.
“Everyone needs to register to vote to have a say,” Darla Welch said.
Countries all around the world do not have the right to vote so being in a country where we are allowed, everyone should be encouraged to do so. So when the date comes around, seniors, take your opportunity to voice your opinion and vote!
