Cowboys Win Close One; Move to 2-0

The Cowboys move to 2-0 on the season with a close win against the Farwell Steers. Brandon Craft scored on a 36 yard pass play from Josh Brock to put the Cowboys up 6-0.
Jaaron Bell scored on a 61 yard run to give the Cowboys a 12-0 lead. Farwell scored on a 52 yard pass play to make the score going into the half 12-7. The Steers scored on their first play coming out after half time on a 70 yard run giving them the lead 13-7. Defense took over for both teams after that. With 4:40 left on the clock the Cowboys moved the ball into field goal range for Edward Valdez. Valdez kicked a 30 yard field goal to put the Cowboys up 15-13. Farwell tried to move the ball but were stopped in their own territory with under a minute left in the game and had to try a field goal. The kick went off of the crossbar ensuring a Cowboys victory. The Cowboys go on the road Friday night to take on the Sudan Hornets at 7:30 in Sudan.
