DISTRICT GOALS
Goal 1: As a district, Plains Independent School District will
facilitate minority learning with educational support, role
modeling, and positive encouragement.
Goal 2: Plains Independent School District will encourage more
parental/guardian and community dialogue and participation in the
educational process.
Goal 3: At Plains Independent School District, discipline measures
will enhance classroom atmosphere and learning environment.
Goal 4: At Plains Independent School District, Gifted and Talented
students in grades 1-12 will receive instruction in the four core
academic areas.
Goal 5: Plains Independent School District will address the needs
of the district’s At-Risk students.
Goal 6: Plains will provide training for personnel to adequately
support the educational programs that serve the students.
Goal 7: At least 80% of all students recommended by the ARD
committee or in each special population group enrolled at Plains
Independent School District will pass all segments of the
SDAAII/TAKS test.
Goal 8: Each campus at Plains ISD will set goals for the AEIS
indicators so as to reach or maintain an Exemplary rating by school
year 2008-2009.
Goal 9: Plains Independent School District will offer courses that
provide valid training and job skills for the students.
